Meek Mill and Trey Songz not aligning after Songz challenged Mill to donate. On Tuesday, the R&B singer challenged the Philadelphia rapper to join the “Feed Your City Challenge” and provide meals to residents in his hometown. “I challenge my boy @meekmill to the #feedyourcitychallenge bull a young God in Philly. Let’s go!!!” Trey wrote.
After Meek Mill responded, Trey Songz decided to leave a comment on one of Meek’s Instagram posts. “Take some of them bands and accept the #feedyourcitychallenge,” he commented on a photo of Meek holding a stack of cash.

At this point, the prison reform advocate didn’t take it lightly being called out by Trey and defended himself, writing, “I donated like 2 mill this year where you at? Lol.” Meek then went further to name his charitable deeds so far. “200k to Philadelphia schools … my phantom for less fortunate 400k …. and helped raised 50 mill for reform @treysongz dont try me like that.”
Trey Songz then shared Meek Mill’s comments with his over 12 million Instagram followers, adding his caption: “So @meekmill apparently felt a way bout me challenging him to the #feedyourcitychallenge. He felt the need to tell me what he’s already done, hopefully not realizing I tapped on him because of how much I know he’s already doing for his community. That’s great you donated fam, that’s great you helping prison reform, that’s great you gave ya phantom. I’m simply trying to bring us together to further help our communities. You offended? Lol you got it!”

Again, Meek Mill lashed out at Trey Songz for telling him to donate. “ah I didn’t don’t try to put me on the spot wit that sideways shit that’s not even no money like 4 racks … other artist telling artist to donate is dumb just handle ya business!” he said. “Don’t try to put me on the spot .. this behavior kinda of new artist don’t speaking on my money … coulda kept this in the comments bro I just ain’t feel your comment no big deal.”
As they went back and forth, Trey recounts that he tried to contact Meek directly but to no avail. “@meekmill I hit ya phone, both numbers I got and I sent a dm. It’s a challenge ni**a. Same way I challenged Mustard, Fab, Trouble, and they all accepted. We ain’t even sposta be at no kinda odds bout giving back. Shit goofy,” the R&B sensation said.

Now, Meek to it cross-platform to Twitter to address the drag with Trey. “Me and trey bro’s that lil, threw me off tho!” he tweeted.
Trey then apologized and asked that they collaborate on the “Feed Your City Challenge” for Philly. “I do apologize if you felt slighted,” he said. “Can we do the challenge in Philly, man? It will be huge.”

Moreover, Meek wasn’t the only superstar who Songz asked to participate in the “Feed Your City Challenge.” He equally called on Fabolous to help in Brooklyn, Trouble in Atlanta, and Mustard, who answered the call in L.A.
The “Feed Your City Challenge” was started by Ricky Davis, Tony Draper, and Pusha T as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Trey Songz, after releasing his protest anthem “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” decided to give back to the community by hosting Black Lives Matter Weekend in Richmond, Virginia in support of the movement. As part of the three-day event, he also provided groceries and essential PPE supplies to 3,000 families and organized a bike ride for racial equality on Father’s Day.
