DaBaby was taken into custody and questioned for an assault and robbery in Miami. He has been charged with battery.
It’s been a rough run, DaBaby; he was just arrested last week in Charlotte, North Carolina, after he performed at the Bojangles’ Coliseum. He was cited for marijuana possession, but he claims he was targeted and contended on social media that police harass him whenever he involves his home state.
He said 15 cops swarmed his vehicle once he left the venue, searched it, and located weed. CMPD has launched an indoor Affairs investigation to work out if officers followed department polices during the incident.
DaBaby was also arrested in early 2019 for an alleged attack in November 2018. The rapper allegedly got into a fight with a person inside a Walmart, and therefore the altercation resulted during a man getting shot and killed. DaBaby initially claimed he was threatened and was protecting himself and his kids. He never copped to pulling the trigger.
The rapper was convicted in June of carrying a concealed gun, a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation and 30 days in jail, but the jail sentence was suspended.
The Miami Herald reports the rapper got into an altercation with promoters at the Cafe Iguana Pines Thursday (January 2) for a scheduled gig. When the rapper’s performance fee was shortened from $30,000 to $20,000, witness says DaBaby and a couple of members of his entourage punched a promoter within the face, doused him with fruit juice, and took the victim’s mastercard, iPhone 7, and $80 in cash.
The “Suge” rapper’s bond was set at $1,500 and is being held from an impressive warrant from Dallas. Fuck you, pay him!
